We desire to help people experience a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Through our relationship with God, we become fully devoted followers of Him. We like to say it this way: Our mission is to win souls and make disciples!

When we fulfill our mission, we are helping people to know God personally, get victory in every area of life, discover their God-given purpose, and make an eternal difference by using their gifts to reach people with the love and power of God!

We are sincere in our for love God and our love for people. Without love we have nothing. We have fun by choosing joy in every situation. We pursue excellence, because God is worth our very best. We show mercy and grace, because God receives us the same way. We are servants and value humility. There are no big shots here!

OUR HISTORY

A JOURNEY OF FAITH

Founded in 1999 by Pastor Bill and his wife Rebekah, with a small group of family and friends
We gathered as a portable church for several years, mainly in the Kanapaha Middle School auditorium.
In 2007, we renovated a building in Micanopy and fulfilled our mission there for 12 years.
In 2019, we renovated a pool hall/night club. We are currently in this beautifully restored and repurposed building, just 8 minutes south of the University of Florida.

Bill DeConna

Senior Pastor

Pastor Bill and his wife, Rebekah, founded our church years ago. He has a true heart for the lost of this city and this area. He wants to see true change in this area and will not stop until that dream is fulfilled.

Pastor Mike at Victory Church of Gainesville

Mike Foreman

Associate Pastor

Pastor Mike is our associate pastor and main assistant to Pastor Bill. Anything that gets done around here, you can be sure that Mike was a big part of making it happen. We are so thankful for his heart to serve the Lord.

Marissa at Victory Church of Gainesville

Marissa Knapp

Victory Kidz Coordinator

Marissa is our Victory Kidz Coordinator, and has been for the past few years. Her heart for the kids of our church is truly astounding, and she has taken our children's ministry to all new heights.

Gwen Qualizza

Office Administrator

Gwen is our office administrator. She is a huge help to our pastors as she makes sure all of the small and very important tasks get done behind the scenes. She keeps the church moving smoothly in our mission!

Lalaine at Victory Church of Gainesville

Lalaine Foreman

Worship

Lalaine is our Worship Team Leader. As a full-time music teacher, she is passionate about music. She volunteers her time to develop our music team to be dynamic worship leaders themselves. She is married to Pastor Mike. They have two boys together: Gabriel and David.

Dave Haslam

Production

Dave is our Production Team Leader. He will be the first to admit that he isn't the most technical guy, but he is a fantastic servant leader and takes great care of his team. You'll laugh a lot and have a lot of fun with him.

Gwen Qualizza

Greeters

Gwen volunteers her free time to lead our Greeters Team. She is always ready to welcome and connect with new people. She and her team have a ton of fun making sure that our guests feel welcomed and loved.

Katey Reding

Ushers

Katey leads our Ushers Team. She is a dedicated servant-leader, and she loves seeing new people getting connected and involved. Our Ushers Team is passionate about making sure our guests have a great Sunday service experience.

Janet Knapp

Prayer Ministry

Janet heads up our Prayer Team. This group of prayer warriors are the spiritual front lines of the church. Janet is always full of faith and a desire to see God's miraculous power in the lives of people.

Mary Reding

Housekeeping

Mary Reding is our Housekeeping Team Leader. She likes to say she has OCD, but we know it's just a gift from God to care about the little details that others passover. Her team makes sure that we have a clean and inviting space to worship each Sunday!
